Our Approach

Alpha Power & Performance Training is a private personal training service currently operating out of a premiere athletic facility in St. George, Ontario.

We offer a high-intensity training experience to achieve maximum results in minimum training time.
We provide a safe, technical and supportive training atmosphere in which individuals can achieve their personal fitness goals while gaining strength and power. Training programs are customized to suit the abilities and ambitions of each client.

The training sessions are once or twice weekly, making this style of training a manageable part of a busy lifestyle.

We offer FREE trial sessions! 

All sessions are by appointment only.

Mike Parsons

Owner & Head Trainer

 

Relevant credentials:

  • Diploma in Health, Wellness and Fitness from Mohawk College (June 2012)
  • 6 years as a competitive powerlifter, with 2 current and several former Canadian bench press records.
  • Team Captain of 3-time championship powerlifting team
  • 7 years as a football coach within the Brantford Bisons Organization and Brantford Collegiate Institute (BCI) Junior High School teams
  • 10 years of playing football at the rep level
  • Highly motivated, perceptive, dedicated, focused, and adaptable individual with vast knowledge of power and performance training gained through a combination of theory and practice.

 

 

 

Mike Parsons is the Head Trainer and Owner/Operator of Alpha Power & Performance Training.

One of the major factors that differentiates Mike from other personal trainers is that he has attended a college-level program and has been educated in areas of sports psychology, exercise physiology, injury management, anatomy and biomechanics. Many personal trainers obtain their certification through various online or in-class, weekend-long courses.
He also has an extensive coaching background that gives him a better understanding of motivating factors that his clients are looking for to help them achieve their goals.
He has held World Records in powerlifting and is a current Canadian Bench Press record holder; this gives him great insight from a personal level as well as abundant awareness of the dedication, motivation, resiliency and perseverance it takes in order to succeed in competitive sports and a training schedule in general.
Another competitive advantage that he has is that he offers customized training programs; he does not believe in a “one size fits all” training philosophy. He is able to observe and listen to account for a client’s capabilities to design an individual program while still motivating and encouraging the client in order to progress and achieve results.
